Royal Essence is Eternal, one band from the top. Everything about this world is the ladder's last full step: the last world with a boss, and the last new ore introduced with a fight standing behind it.

Aurelius
Aurelius can be challenged at level 100, the highest boss level in the game, on the same 90 second timer every boss uses. He pays 350 Royal Essence and eight loot boxes, the largest boss reward there is. Beating him is what opens End of Time.
Why this is the hardest gate
Every world before this one could be waited out, because coins accumulate whether you are watching or not. Four Paradox resets is four separate decisions to abandon a run and start again, which is a different kind of cost entirely. The creatures here, Pip, Plumeroy, Barrow, Auriel, Cervan, Aurelion and Solreign, are what paying it buys.
The last new ore
Neodymium is the final metal the ladder introduces. End of Time carries it forward but adds nothing new of its own, so the mining side of Time Heroes is fully revealed the moment you land in Eternal Kingdom. What is left after this world is depth, not new material.
