A game like Pet Simulator 99, without Roblox

Pet Simulator 99 is a Roblox game by BIG Games: your pets break coin piles and chests, you hatch eggs, and the chase is for Huge and Titanic pets. Time Heroes runs on the same pull, the next egg that might hold the rare one, but it is a game of its own and it is not on Roblox. Time Heroes is a free multiplayer idle pet-collecting game by Timelands that runs in a desktop web browser.

This page is for players who know Pet Simulator 99 and want to know what carries over and what does not. Time Heroes is made by Timelands and has no connection to BIG Games or Roblox.

What will feel familiar

• Eggs and rarity. You earn coins, spend them on eggs and hope for the rare one. Each world's egg holds 7 pets, one for each rarity from Common up to Secret, and the base chance of a Secret is 1 in 40,000.
• Pets that do the work. Your pets break rocks next to you and pay coins. Only the pets on your team mine, so your best ones go on the team.
• Golden and Rainbow pets. An egg can hand you a Golden, a Rainbow or an Astral pet outright, on its own roll, and Shiny is a separate roll on top of that. You can also build a form yourself from copies of the same pet.
• Very big, very rare pets. Pet Simulator 99 has Huge and Titanic pets. In Time Heroes every pet rolls its size when it hatches: most come out base size, a few come out Big, fewer Giant, and a Titan comes out 1 in 150,000.
• New worlds to open. There are 10 worlds, each with its own egg. A world opens with a player level, a pile of coins and the previous world's boss beaten, and from the sixth world on it also asks for Paradox resets.
• A group to play with. Instead of a clan you join a colony, a shared mothership that a group of players runs together. Members donate, the donations push a shared reactor forward, and everything the reactor opens belongs to the whole colony. You can also add friends and race them in timed Duels.

What is different

• No Roblox. You play at timeheroes.app in the browser of a desktop or laptop computer. There is no client, no installer and no app store version, and you do not need a Roblox account, only a free Time Heroes one.
• A computer, not a phone. The game does not start on a phone or a tablet. You can create your account from a phone, but you have to move to a computer to play.
• No trading. The marketplace, player to player trading and gifting are all closed, and nothing moves between two player accounts.
• Idle when you want it. Once you research the Auto Miner (level 11), the pets on your team keep mining for as long as the game is open, whether you are clicking or not. A closed game earns at half the rate, and only for the away hours you have unlocked.
• Age. You need to be 13 or older for a Time Heroes account, checked when the account is created, and paid randomized items are limited to players 18 and over.
