How rare is Cloudtail?
Cloudtail is Rare and hatches at 1 in 8, or 12.5%, on the standard hatch table. Heaven's Gate holds only one Rare pet, so that whole chance belongs to Cloudtail.
These are the base rates, before any Luck. Luck lifts hatches up the rarity ladder one step at a time, so your own chances shift as it grows. The Luck guide shows what a given amount does.
Shine is a separate roll on top of rarity, with a base chance of 0.5% on every hatch, so a Shiny Cloudtail is rarer still. The Shiny pets guide covers what the coat is worth.
How to get Cloudtail
Cloudtail only hatches once Heaven's Gate is open. The door asks for player level 50, 7.5B coins and Sakura Fairy Queen beaten.
Cloudtail hatches from the Heaven's Gate egg, which costs 700M coins. The egg rolls a rarity from the standard table and hands you Heaven's Gate's creature of that rarity, so Cloudtail is what you get when the roll lands on Rare. The Hatching guide walks through every roll an egg makes.
Other pets from the Heaven's Gate egg
The Heaven's Gate egg can hatch 7 creatures, one for each rarity. Cloudtail is the Rare one, and these are the rest. The last stays a silhouette until the day it hatches for you.
